The collection consists of teaching, research and writing, and administrative records of Professor Cecil Eaton Fraser of the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration, 1919-1947. Teaching records include notes, annotated cases, and other materials used by Fraser in Harvard Business School classrooms. Research and writing topics include the war effort during World War II and the relationship to higher education; and the advantages of the case method in business education. Administrative records contain material regarding the Bureau of Business Research and material documenting Fraser's role as a liaison between the military and Harvard during World War II. The collection also includes class notes taken by Fraser while a student at the Graduate School of Business Education, 1919-1921.

Cecil Eaton Fraser received his MBA from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration in 1921. He was a Research Staff Member and Office Manager of the Bureau of Business Research, 1921-1926, and taught finance classes from 1923-1931. He was Treasurer and Director of Incorporated Investors from 1930-1936, and was President and Director of Massachusetts Distributors, Inc., from 1936-1939.
